For 40 years, the Local Development Corporation of East New York (LDC) has provided small businesses and community residents programs that stimulate entrepreneurial development and job creation. Our mission has been and continues to be “to empower low-to-moderate income women and minorities with programs that promote economic sufficiency, build assets and improve their lives and those of their families.” Our mission drives our result: Growing Businesses, Changing Lives and Strengthening Communities.

Year after year, the LDC provides free business counseling, entrepreneurial training, housing assistance, and financial education to hundreds of New York City residents. We can provide our clients these services free of charge due to our strong partnerships with government agencies and foundations. However, even with the financial support received from government and foundations, the LDC still needs your financial help to continue to meet the increasing cost of operations and to continue making an impact in the lives of the men and women who come through our doors for assistance with starting a business, improving their credit, or applying for housing.
