Business Counseling

Meetings are set up by appointment to advise clients who are planning to start a business on how to proceed and get financing appropriate. Counselors work also with established businesses to address specific issues effecting their business.

Fundamentals of Starting, Managing and Growing a Business. The topics include: product development, pricing strategies, marketing, distribution channels, taxes, record keeping and legal issues.

E-Business and Technology

Beginner & Advanced (Spanish and English) Internet and E-Commerce: We will teach you the benefits of using the Internet towards your business: from developing the ability to use designed applications, to navigating the World Wide Web for useful information.

Business Software and Quickbooks: These tools will help you better manage your business.

Developing your Specific Market

These specially designed workshops focus on answering specific questions in your industry:
Child Care: Workshops dedicated to starting a home-based child care service. Information will include instructions on how to obtain Health Department regulations, find the first customer and establish a child care center.
Catering: The workshop features tips on obtaining a first contract, use of commercial kitchens, where to shop and cooperative buying arrangements.
Retail: The workshop features information on retail vending and opening a retail store.
